Media mogul William Randolph Hearst built a beach house in Santa Monica for starlet Marion Davies. Some of old Hollywood's most over-the-top, star studded, blowout bashes went down here. It also served as the oceanside summer house for the likes of Marlene Dietrich and Florence Ziegfeld.

Today, only the guesthouse remains, but it has been fully restored. This is your destination. Black-and-white photographs of Marion Davies welcome you at the entrance. Along the walls are photos of her partying with old Hollywood friends and aerial shots of the original beach house property. Back then, the tide came up only a few yards from the house. Don't forget to look up. Original chandeliers hang from the ceilings. The space is open, airy and minimally furnished.
